Abstract

Higher education is a main factor in the competitiveness of nations
and rises the competition and innovation in the internal markets. In order to
achieve their goals HEIs need strategic planning and do need to successfully
track their progress towards the set goals. This means that we need metrics
which should measure the organizational performance at the institutional level
and be used inside the organization to support the strategic process. The aim of
the article is to suggest a framework for the evaluation of the HEI performance
using the key performance indicators concept.
